Terms of Use
1. Agreement
These Terms govern access to and use of the PRAMAAN platform operated by Pramaan Technologies Private Limited. By using PRAMAAN, you agree to these Terms and any applicable order form, data processing addendum, or firm agreement.
If you use PRAMAAN on behalf of a firm or organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that firm or organization.
2. Accounts and firm access
PRAMAAN is provided for professional legal work. Access is issued to firms and authorized users. You are responsible for keeping credentials secure, maintaining accurate account information, and ensuring that only authorized personnel use the service.
3. Customer data and authority
Your firm retains rights to documents, records, notes, prompts, outputs, and other material submitted to PRAMAAN. PRAMAAN does not claim ownership of customer matter data.
You are responsible for having the right and authority to upload, store, process, and instruct PRAMAAN to analyze customer matter data, including client information, confidential material, privileged material, personal data, and third-party documents.
PRAMAAN remains responsible for the confidentiality, security, processor-management, and platform-control commitments it expressly makes in the applicable agreement and public disclosures.
4. AI-assisted features
PRAMAAN provides AI-assisted tools for record organization, source-linked analysis, contradiction review, chronology support, drafting assistance, and related workflows. AI outputs are working material for legal professionals; they are not legal advice, legal opinions, or a substitute for professional judgment.
You are responsible for reviewing and verifying AI-assisted outputs before relying on them, sharing them, filing them, or using them in advice to clients or proceedings.
AI inference may involve approved processors outside India. Firm administrators can request an India-resident inference policy from the settings panel, change the firm's selected policy, and review audit records for policy changes and per-run provider and region details. See the AI Processing Disclosure.
5. Approved processors and retention posture
PRAMAAN may use third-party processors for hosting, authentication, infrastructure, support, observability, communications, and AI inference. The approved AI inference processors are listed on the Approved AI Processors page.
PRAMAAN configures approved AI inference routes for no third-party model training and disclosed zero or limited retention posture. Provider terms and technical controls can vary by route, so route-specific disclosures control over broad summaries.
6. Acceptable use
You may use PRAMAAN only for lawful professional purposes and in compliance with applicable client duties, confidentiality obligations, privilege rules, court or tribunal rules, bar or professional conduct rules, and data protection law.
You may not misuse PRAMAAN, attempt unauthorized access, probe data belonging to another firm, bypass security controls, reverse engineer the service, or use the platform to process material you are not authorized to process.
7. Service changes and availability
PRAMAAN may change, suspend, or discontinue features as the service evolves. We work to keep the service reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Planned maintenance and material changes will be communicated where practical.
8. Confidentiality and security
PRAMAAN will use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards for customer matter data. Customers must also maintain appropriate access controls, user offboarding, device security, and internal policies for their own users.
9. Limitation of liability
PRAMAAN is a technology service, not a law firm. To the maximum extent permitted by law and the applicable agreement, PRAMAAN is not responsible for legal strategy, legal outcomes, court or tribunal decisions, or customer decisions made from reviewed outputs.
Any liability cap, exclusions, indemnities, and special terms will be governed by the applicable signed agreement or order form. These provisions should be reviewed with counsel before enterprise use.
10. Suspension and termination
Either party may terminate according to the applicable agreement. PRAMAAN may suspend access where needed to address security risk, unlawful use, non-payment, breach of these Terms, or risk to another customer or the platform.
11. Governing law and contact
These Terms are governed by Indian law unless a signed agreement states otherwise. Courts in New Delhi, India will have jurisdiction unless mandatory law or a signed agreement requires a different forum.
